MOT-style check at the local indie before a long drive and the lad pulls me aside, hands me one of the front tyres. Inner edge is feathered, outer is fine, tread on the inside is below 3mm. Rears look like they've barely been used. Car has done 10,400 miles since new last August. It's the Excellence AWD, so two driven axles, but the front pair is clearly working harder. I drive sensibly, almost all motorway, no track days, no kerbing. Dealer wants £80 to do a four-wheel alignment check. Fair enough but it sort of feels like something they should have nailed at PDI. Tyres are the standard Atlas Batman EV pattern, not exactly cheap to replace. Is this consistent with what others are seeing on the Seal — front-biased wear from sheer mass — or do I likely have a toe issue from a kerb I don't remember kissing? Worth pushing for a goodwill alignment under warranty?
